Is Mac OS X Leopard and Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac worth the wait?

My home PC might just not work any day now, and I am considering a Mac mini or iMac, since Vista still has a few bugs needed to be fixed.

I just plan to use it for school work, which would only require typing jobs and creating Powerpoint presentations.

If I'm going to buy now, I might also buy a Microsoft Office 2004. I also don't know if I should wait for the Office 2008.

Buy a mac mini! keep your old peripherals, and install bootcamp, you'll be able to keep your entire windows system, while slowly migrating to a system without spyware, viruses, and Microsoft tyranny!

get http://neoffice.org for compatibility with MS Office WINDOWS versions.

get ilife %26 iwork from apple. You'll be much happier!

if you can afford to pay the extra $129, get Tiger now, and upgrade, You'll have the entire summer to learn your new machine

Macs are overpriced compared to windows pcs and run maybe 10% of the software that windows does...Definitely a no there....
Obviuosly 'xun1q' has never owned a Mac and certainly has no idea of the range of software available to the Mac platform - but then make up your own mind!! Try an iMac and you'll never go back to 'Windoze'
