Can I use Microsoft Office with a MacBook Pro?

I want to buy a MacBook Pro, but I still want to use Microsoft Office. Is it possible to install it in a Mac, and if so, is it the same type you'd instal in a PC. One more thing, what would happen if I had both M.Office and I Works in my computer? Thanks

Microsoft sells a version of Office specifically for the Macintosh. You can also run Windows on a MacBook Pro, which requires purchasing a copy of Windows XP or Vista. But then you can run the same MS Office that you are used to using. Look into Bootcamp, VMWare Fusion, or Parallels.

MS Office and iWork can coexist without any problems. If you want to open a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file in and iWork application you just drag the file from Finder onto the Pages, Numbers, or Keynote icon on the dock. Otherwise the system assumes you want to open the document in MS Office. iWork documents will open in their native program.

There is a different version of office for mac. Microsoft has just realeased office 2008 for mac computers. Or, you could use a virtual machine on your mac to install xp.. Or google/yahoo how to run windows apps on mac without windows
Yes but iWork08 is MUCH better and only $79

If you have both Office for Mac and iWork08 you will have no problem although it is a bit of a waste having two programs doing the same thing - ditch MS Office for Mac.

Pages documents can be exported as Word.doc format so you don't need to have MS Office for Mac which is crappy and bloated anyway.
You'll be running a Mac version of Microsoft Office, which is different. But keep in mind that you can use Windows within the Macbook Pro with bootcamp (comes with Leopard) so you're set either way.
