Is it better to purchase Microsoft Office at the store, or buy online and download?

I paid $149 for the download. I was wondering if I should've just gone to Best Buy and have the disks. I would've paid more.

In the future, should I buy software at the store, or continue buying online?

Store.

You need the actual disks, actual serial and actual papers for support.

Most online download shops are just fake hack sites that basically steal your money while you download a pirated installation anyway.

always buy from the store when dealing with things like that. You save a few bucks online but it's really not worth it in the long run

Your option

I would recommend you back up your download files to a CD for safety sake. So if you need to re-install for some reason, you have the disk with the files on it to do so

Make sure you write the CD key on the disk, so you have it if you need it
I bought online, but the whole package with CDs and product key from a reputable seller.

If you download and need to reinstall - what will you do without the CDs?
Remember to check for updates and to register, which might also require checking the windows updates for Microsoft software...
