Its a new laptop but i cant find my registration code. It also says i can use a certificate of authenticity but i dont know what that is.

It's pre-installed as a trial version ... you have to purchase an activation key from Microsoft ... they do this so you're tempted to just put your credit card number into their website then they email you a key ... negating the need to go and actually go a physically buy a copy of Office
