Because Office is expensive. Most provide you with Microsoft Works instead. If you want a free alternative get Open Office from http://openoffice.org I mean it's what the entire Dutch government uses.

So you picked the wrong answer just to spite me? You poor girl... Report It

Since Microsoft don't make computers... The answer would be... none!

EDIT: If you mean ''computers that run Microsoft Windows'', why don't you just say so? And why did you thank him when he didn't answer your question when I actually did? Why is it my fault when you can't phrase your question properly?

Here's a real answer for you: according to Businessweek, there are 400 million copies of MS Office in use, and it holds 95% of the office suite market.

In 2004, it's estimated that there are 665 million PC users in the world. By end of 2008 there will be 950 million. So by now, it should be about 900 million, maybe a little less.

However, there's no statistics on MS Word alone. Also, despite what the other guy told you, recent versions of MS Works (which IS a separate program), are sold as ''Works Suite'', which also comes with MS Word.
